Kern;,that he resides at Garyville, in the Parish and State aforesaid; that he was boxn in the City of Natxhez, State of Mississippi, in the eighth day of November, XXXX 1841X
        That his father's name was William R. Kern that he was born in Reading, Pennsylvania; That his mother's name was Mary Anne Laukhart; that she was borne in Germany and married to William R. Kern in the City of New Orleans, Louisiana, on October third, 1838; that his father, William R. Kern, died in Pattersonville, now known as Patterson, Louisiana, St. Mary's Parish in 1853; that his mother died in Pattersonville, Louisiana on June 15, 1880, tha his father and mother had five children, namely: Amelia Helen Kern; Victoria Kern; George Washington Kern; Thomas Jefferson Kern; and deponent William R. Kern; that of the said five children deponent, William R.
