        <line /><line>In the name of God amen I Reuben Thornton of the State of</line><line>Georgia and County of Elbert being in a low state of health</line><line>but perfectly of sound mind and memory do, this first day of</line><line>May in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and ten, make</line><line>and ordain this my last Will and Testament. First I will and</line><line>bequeath that my Executors hereinafter named shall sell and</line><line>dispose of a certain tract of land in the State aforesaid and</line><line>county of Wayne situate lying and being in the second district</line><line>and known by a plan of said district by lot number two hundred</line><line>and sixty five in the way and manner that they shall think </line><line>most proper and conducive to the interest of my estate. </line><line /><line>Secondly after the paymnent of my just and lawful debts, I</line><line>will and bequeath that my beloved wife Elizabeth Thornton keep</line><line>and hold in her possession for the support of her and her </line><line>children the profits from the sale of the above mentioned</line><line>tract of land, also the tract of land whereon I now live </line><line>containing two hundred acres more or less also two negroes by </line><line>the names of Patty and Harry with my stock of all kinds,</line><line>household and kitchen furniture with every thing appertaining</line><line>to my estate during her widowhood and if she shall marry then</line><line>all my estate aforesaid to be equally divided between her and</line><line>my beloved children Priscilla, Thomas, William, Elizabeth, </line><line>Sally, Reuben and Anne Thornton.</line><line /><line>Lastly I constitute and appoint my true and trusty friends</line><line>Daniel Thornton and Beverly Allen my sole executors to this</line><line>my last Will and Testament and revoking all other heretofore</line><line>made by me.
