Private information

User information collected by this website and denoted on this website as “private” will never be shared with or transferred to any third party except as indicted in the “Privacy exceptions” subsection below. Such private information includes, but is not limited to internal logs that detail site usage, or a user’s actual name, address, or email address.

Privacy exceptions

User information may be shared with a third party only under the following exceptional conditions:

  1. With your consent - Information on this website may be shared with others if it is believed that the user has provided prior informed, affirmative, and confirmed consent.
  2. Public comments - Part or all of a user’s IP address (e.g. yours right now is [38.107.191.92]) may be published if the user does not leave a name or a distinguishable nickname. Anything a user enters about himself or herself as a comment may be published, whether or not its content might be consider private.
  3. To prevent injury & harm - Any information may be shared if I believe that it will have a substantial impact in preventing or substantially reducing imminent personal injury or imminent and substantial material harm.
  4. To prevent spam and other abuse - Information may be shared about a user who I strongly believe is using this site or its servers in relation to spam or other Internet abuse.
  5. In aggregate - Aggregate counts of certain types of information may be shared when the aggregate count is large enough so that sharing it does not identify an individual user and information from this site does not link any individual user to any such shared aggregate of information.
  6. When compelled by law - Information may be disclosed if I believe that I am compelled to do so by law to which I am subject.
  7. To my executor - Should I be unable to release information, an executor of my estate may transfer, without obligation, user information only after receiving the user’s affirmative consent to do so.
